The Legion of Honor for Dominique Loiseau
On June 10, French president Nicolas Sarkozy announced, "Madame, I am particularly happy this evening to present you with the insignia of the Legion of Honor because you are a courageous woman. Confronted with the death of your husband, Bernard Loiseau, an exceptionally talented chef, you have succeeded in carrying on what he built through hard work, while, if I may say so, perhaps even raising his business to new heights." 

Star chef Thomas Kellermann becomes Chef de cuisine at Burg Wernberg
Since June 2008 star chef Thomas Kellermann has been Chef de cuisine at the Hotel Burg Wernberg, replacing Christian Jürgens who enjoyed seven successful years there.

Emile Jung launches Food Culture Festival
If you're a fan of flavors, culture, taste, cooking and sharing, Émile Jung will meet you July 10-13, 2008 at the foot of Strasbourg cathedral. "While Europe today is mostly economic or political, the purpose of this new festival is to add a new cultural dimension, in which gastronomy will play an essential role as a catalyst between citizens of our old continent.
