Strawberry Coulis with Basil Recipe

Basil is an herb which lends itself well to fresh dishes such as salads, goat cheese, fish, chocolate and fruit.

- 300 g (10 oz.) fresh strawberries (Strawberry)
- 150 ml (10 tbsp.) water
- 100 g (3 1/2 oz.) icing sugar
- 45 ml (3 tbsp.) lemon juice
- 45 ml (3 tbsp.) finely chopped Basil leaves
Method
  1. Wash the strawberries and place them in a blender;
  2. add the water, icing sugar and lemon juice and blend everything together thoroughly;
  3. place the coulis in a sauté pan and cook for a few minutes;
  4. let cool for 5 minutes;
  5. add the chopped basil and a few strawberries cut into pieces.
