This is a convivial way of serving coffee, using a traditional carved wooden coffee pot with four spouts, one for each of the four guests. There are also versions designed for two. No cups, saucers or spoons. This is all about sharing in true rustic mountain style.

Otherwise you could use a large glass as is done for Brazilian coffee.

1. First pour in the hot coffee with a good shot of grappa or other strong liquor,
2. add a few slices of orange or lemon and a little sugar;
3. on the circle that holds the lid, place a wreath of sugar moistened with eau-de-vie.
