Bocconcini with Tomatoes and Basil Recipe

If you were to say this isn’t really a recipe, you’d have a point: it’s so simple you don’t even have to know how to cook! Nonetheless, this easy hors d’oeuvre is filled with the flavors of Italy (where, by the way, “bocconcini” means “little bites.”)

- Tomatoes
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Finely chopped Basil leaves
- Freshly ground pepper
Method
  1. Drain the bocconcini; place them on a platter.
  2. Slice the tomatoes and arrange between the bocconcini.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil; sprinkle with basil and add a grinding of fresh pepper. Since the cheese is naturally slightly salty, there’s no need for salt.
