Bocconcini with Tomatoes and Basil Recipe
Chef's Note
If you were to say this isn’t really a recipe, you’d have a point: it’s so simple you don’t even have to know how to cook! Nonetheless, this easy hors d’oeuvre is filled with the flavors of Italy (where, by the way, “bocconcini” means “little bites.”)
Ingredients
Method
- Drain the bocconcini; place them on a platter.
- Slice the tomatoes and arrange between the bocconcini.
- Drizzle with olive oil; sprinkle with basil and add a grinding of fresh pepper. Since the cheese is naturally slightly salty, there’s no need for salt.
