Wines from the South-West - Irouleguy
About thirty years ago, this old vineyard located at the foot of the Pyrenees mountains, between Saint-Jean–Pied-de-Port and Biarritz, totalled about 50 hectares. Today, vines cover almost 220 hectares on steep and perfectly sunny slopes where tannat, cabernet franc, petit and gros manseng as well as petit courbu flourish. Generally speaking, the red and rosé wines are noted for their zippy character and forward personality. Dry white wines are noted for their aromatic structure – unique yet highly expressive.
