Small history

Using barley and hops as its raw materials, beer, the "agrarian" drink par excellence, is a true gift of nature. Following the rhythm of the seasons and the harvest, brewers produce beers of all hues, with diverse flavors and in well-known traditional styles.

Specially made for Christmas and drawing on all the brewmasters' skill, Christmas Beer presents a deep amber color and has a creamy rich head. It is a blend of the finest malts: pale malts for strength, and roasted malts for flavor and color. Both strong and dense, it is slightly more caloric and more flavorful than other beers due to the richness of its ingredients, and was originally intended to fortify people against the assaults of winter!

An added bonus is the fact that brewers generally indulge their creativity when preparing their Christmas brews, adding individual little touches such as cinnamon, coriander, ginger, honey and so on. Made from the season's late barley harvests, this beer, once called "October beer," benefits from cooler fall temperatures and can age quietly for several weeks… It reaches full maturity around Christmas time and pairs perfectly with the season's festive dishes, from the most traditional to the most sophisticated.

Today with advances in cooling technology, Christmas beer is no longer reserved solely for brewers' friends and customers! But progress can't change nature: Christmas beer can be enjoyed only until December 31, and not a day later! After that, the only way to sample it is to wait until next year.
