Burgundy wines - Savigny-lès-Beaune
Small history
French wines > Burgundy wines > Côte de Beaune > Savigny-lès-Beaune
Savigny-les-Beaune is a communal appellation in the Côte de Beaune district located between the Hill of Corton and Beaune. Here the wine-producing area is very old. For a long time it belonged to the Dukes of Burgundy, the neighbouring abbeys but also to the Maltese knights. The great castle of the 14th century is a real testament to the legitimate claims of the vintage. The red wines boast a bouquet of small red and black fruits and flowers while whites have a flowery and light hearted nose, a lively attack that makes this a clean, straightforward wine.
