Amanita caesarea
The Caesar's mushroom likes warm, but not overly hot, temperatures. It grows in oak forests, particularly on the edge or in denuded spaces. They are found in small groups on the same site.
Its cap is soft, usually orange, solid red or yellowish with yellow gills underneath. Its stem is yellowish white and bulbous at the base. The flesh is white and flavorful.
