Pastry with François
Before you enter L'Oasis - if you are walking up from the seashore - you will discover a tiny little boutique, a veritable doll's house, with the most tempting window on the whole French Riviera, full of all kinds of delights for the eye and the palate that Valérie has to offer us. It is her pastry-chef husband, François Raimbault, who is the sweet guiding spirit behind L'Oasis.
The bread ovens are going full force here, turning out all sorts of unique loaves. "Our idea was to make breads using only natural yeasts." And they have succeeded. The bread sells like… hotcakes. And the desserts are to die for!

François received his pastry training in small bakeries, including a stint with Lucien Peltier in Paris, where, he says, "I had a five year experience that determined the course of my life, one that really made me love working in a small pastry shop."

François Raimbault's decision to become a pastry chef is not surprising, given his talent for drawing and the passion for the culinary arts which he has always shown. This avid sketcher makes it a point of pride to create desserts that are miniature works of art. Not to mention that they are also sinfully delicious! His striving for perfection is ongoing: a constant search for harmonious flavours and original presentations. Thus, every day at L'Oasis the sweets "caravan" (dessert trolley) and the plated desserts vie for pride of place: in this beauty contest regional products turn out to be the big winners. Everyone knows that with its jasmine, thyme and orange flowers the Côte d'Azur has what it takes to make heads turn!
