The chef is from the local area and insists that all his ingredients come from organic and free-range farms - or better still from Nature itself. Star chef Thomas Kellerma, chef de cuisine at Burg Wernberg
Since June 2008, Bavarian chef Thomas Kellermann has been Chef de cuisine at the Hotel Burg Wernberg. He replaces Christian Jürgens who enjoyed seven successful years at Burg Wernberg. Thirty-eight-year-old Thomas Kellermann previously worked for several years with Hans Haas in Tantris in Munich. Chef de cuisine at the gourmet restaurant ‘Vitrum’ in the Ritz-Carlton in Berlin for the past five years, Kellermann is considered to be one of the most promising chefs in Germany and has already been honored with numerous awards. He currently holds 1 Michelin star, 17 Gault Millau points, 3 F in the German gourmet magazine "Feinschmecker," 4 Diamonds in the Varta guide, 3.5 spoons in the Aral Schlemmer Atlas and 4 toques from the Bertelsmann Guide.
