All about WENSLEYDALE

Origin: England

Wensleydale, probably the second-oldest English cheese, was originally made by Cistercian monks in the great Abbeys of Fountains and Jervaulx in the Yorkshire dales as far back as nine centuries ago.

It has a soft, flaky texture and a honey aftertaste, making it a favourite with fruit cake and apple pie - hence the old English saying "Apple pie without Wensleydale cheese is like a kiss without a squeeze!"
